THE EXPERIENCE

  • Select from one of our delicious sit down dining or canape packages best suited to your budget and event size. Contact us via the ‘contact’ page to select your event date and details.

    On the day of your event, Chef Akad will arrive with all the ingredients to cook, serve and leave everything neat and tidy. All you need to do is enjoy your restaurant experience in the comfort of your home (beach house, airbnb, holiday suite etc').

  • Chef Akad will arrive approximately 3 hours prior to the event time. He will set up the kitchen and begin the preparation and cooking of the menu.

    Service will commence at the agreed function start time. Should the event be a sit down function, table service from Chef Akad is included (for events of 10 guests of more additional waitstaff is required and will have an additional fee).

    Following the conclusion of the meal, Chef Akad will leave the kitchen neat and tidy, having washed any kitchen utensils used.

  • Table, chairs, cleared bench space, oven, stove, microwave, pots and pans, general kitchen utensils, chopping boards and a cleared fridge (a cleared freezer shelf may be required for some dining menus).

    Please note setting of the table, serving platters, crockery, cutlery and serve utensils are not supplied by Guepa’s Kitchen. The host is required to provide all of the above for each course of service. Guepa’s Kitchen kindly ask that should a dishwasher be available, it is emptied prior to Chef Akad’s arrival to allow for an easy clean up.

  • Guepa’s Kitchen can cater for anywhere from 2 guests to a party of 200+. Please ensure to advise of the expected minimum and maximum number of guests when booking in your event.

  • Yes, for an additional fee the use of waitstaff and bartending can be arranged. Please note that sit down menus of 10 guests or more will require waitstaff at an additional cost.

  • Guepa’s Kitchen travels within Metropolitan Melbourne, the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula. For events outside of Metropolitan Melbourne a travel fee is applied. Chef Akad will discuss this with you when booking your event.

  • Yes, functions outside of Metropolitan Melbourne will have an additional travel fee. Chef Akad will discuss this with you when booking your event.

  • You sure can! Chef Akad is more than happy to accommodate individual budgets and requests for menu options.

  • Due to food safety and handling, Guepa’s Kitchen will bring all the required ingredients and produce. If you have a specific local supplier you wish to be used please advise Chef Akad when booking in your event.

  • Absolutely. Chef Akad is well acquainted with managing dietary requirements and food allergies. The utmost care is taken when preparing and cooking meals for both Private Dining and Canape events. However please note that we unfortunately cannot guarantee total avoidance of cross-contamination due to ingredients, utensils, bench tops etc. Chef Akad will always take due care, however please advise your guests should they have severe food allergies.

    Please let Chef Akad know when booking the function if there are any dietary restrictions or food allergies and intolerances.

  • Yes you can! A grazing table topped with the freshest locally sourced ingredients can be added to your event for an extra $15pp. If you are after additional desserts, Chef Akad will be able to discuss this and provide you with a quote during the booking phase.

the Booking

  • Fill out the form within the ‘contact’ tab. Chef Akad will call you within 5 business days to discuss availability for your event date and booking in the function.

  • In order to book your event we recommend booking the minimum number of guests, with the option to add on in the lead up to event. Due to the locally sourced produce and ingredients, total numbers are required 7 days prior to the event.

the Payment

  • Packages for private dining and canapes range from $65pp to $300pp. Guepa’s Kitchen also offers a custom option, whereby through consultation with Chef Akad, a custom menu will be created around your budget.

  • A deposit amount of 50% the total event cost must be paid to secure your event date. The remaining amount is due 14 days prior to your event date.

  • Following discussions with Chef Akad and tentatively booking in your event date, you will receive an email with your invoice and menu attached. Payment details are through direct debit with 50% of the total invoice amount being required to lock in your event date.

the Cancellation policy

  • Deposit amount of 50% the total cost must be made upon booking your function date. The remaining amount is due 14 days prior to your event.

    Should the host/client cancel the booking 14 days or more prior to the event date, you will be entitled to a 50% refund on the deposit amount. If the cancellation occurs 13 days or less prior to your event, you will forfeit the entire amount you have paid. Payment of the deposit amount is your consent to these conditions.

    On the rare occasion Guepa’s Kitchen cancels your function, Chef Akad will contact his network of Private Chefs to determine if coverage is available. Should cover not be available then a full refund will be applied.
