Terms & conditions

This agreement applies to all users, ‘you’ and ‘Guepa’s Kitchen’ and ‘services’ provided by Guepa’s Kitchen.

Food Safety

  • All groceries purchased by Guepa’s Kitchen for the use of an event are ethically and legally sourced. Food preparation is completed under the guidance of the Australian Institute of Food Safety – including food standards, food safety and food handling.

  • Once a food item is turned over to the client, it is your responsibility to properly handle and maintain.

  • Guepa’s Kitchen is not responsible for any illness or death due to manufacturing flaws or recalled products. Guepa’s Kitchen will inspect all groceries however is not responsible for conditions unknown or unforeseen. Should Guepa’s Kitchen discover that a product is contaminated or has been recalled, Guepa’s Kitchen will promptly contact you to advise.

  • Food prepared and plated by Guepa’s Kitchen is to be consumed on the event day and at the event time. Guepa’s Kitchen is not liable for any injuries, illness or death associated with food safety and handling outside of the schedule event details.

  • Guepa’s Kitchen is well acquainted with managing dietary requirements and food allergies. The utmost care is taken when preparing and cooking meals for all events types. However please note that we unfortunately cannot guarantee total avoidance of cross-contamination due to ingredients, utensils, bench tops etc. Guepa’s Kitchen will always take due care, however please advise your guests should they have severe food allergies.

  • If is your responsibility when booking the event to provide accurate, complete and updated information regarding food allergies, intolerances and the tastes of the food. Guepa’s Kitchen does not accept any responsibility or makes any warranties for clients not disclosing any valid information.

The Experience and Client Responsibilities

  • On the day of your event, Guepa’s Kitchen staff will arrive with all the ingredients to cook, serve and leave everything neat and tidy.

  • Upon arrival, you must show the chef how your kitchen equipment works, including turning on any electrical appliances. You should show the chef what equipment may be used for the dinner party, including pots, pans, electrical equipment, crockery, cutlery and glassware (if necessary), removing it from high cupboards. Any faulty equipment should be removed from the kitchen prior to the dinner party.

  • You are responsible for supplying tables, chairs, cleared bench space, oven, stove, microwave, pots and pans, general kitchen utensils, chopping boards and a cleared fridge (a cleared freezer shelf may be required for some dining menus). 

  • Please note setting of the table, serving platters, crockery, cutlery and serve utensils are not supplied by Guepa’s Kitchen. The host is required to provide all of the above for each course of service. Guepa’s Kitchen kindly ask that should a dishwasher be available, it is emptied prior to Chef Akad’s arrival to allow for an easy clean up. 

  • Guepa’s Kitchen will not tolerate any violence, threatening behaviour, physical aggression or verbal abuse to any of our staff or representatives. Should this occur, our team will vacate the property immediately and the booking will not continue. No refund will be issued and legal proceedings will be issued against you.

Payment

  • A deposit amount of 50% the total event cost must be paid to secure your event date. The remaining amount is due 14 days prior to your event date. An invoice will be sent out with your selected menu. Payment is required via direct debit. 

  • Tips/gratuities are not included in the cost of Guepa’s Kitchen services. If you would like to show your appreciation of your Chef and their work please feel free to do so to them directly.

Cancellation

  • Should the host/client cancel the booking 14 days or more prior to event date, you will be entitled to a 50% refund on the deposit amount. If the cancellation occurs 13 days or less prior to your event, you will forfeit the entire amount you have paid.

  • On the rare occasion Guepa’s Kitchen cancels your function, Guepa’s Kitchen will contact a network of Private Chefs to determine if coverage is available. Should cover not be available then a full refund will be applied. 

Privacy

  • Guepa’s Kitchen will respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect from you across our website, social media or persons.

  • Guepa’s Kitchen will process your personal information lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner. Guepa’s Kitchen does not keep personal information for longer than is necessary. While we retain this information, we will protect it within commercially acceptable means to prevent loss and theft, as well as unauthorised access, disclosure, copying, use or modification. That said, we advise that no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure and cannot guarantee absolute data security.

  • Guepa’s Kitchen will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required to by law.

  • By providing personal information to us, you consent to Guepa’s Kitchen collecting, holding, using and disclosing your personal information in accordance with this privacy policy.

Indemnity

  • To the extent provided by law and this Agreement, you shall, at your own cost and expense, indemnify, defend, and hold harmless, Guepa’s Kitchen, its Affiliates, Representatives and Contractors, from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees and court costs) which arise directly or indirectly out of the use of Services.

Waiver

  • In no event shall either parties be liable to the other parties for any damages: indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary, incurred by the other parties arising out of the use of Services, even if such parties has been advised of the possibility of such damages. You, your heirs, personal representatives or assigns, agents, employees and affiliates, do hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Guepa’s Kitchen, their affiliates, direct or indirect, officers, employees, businesses and agents from liability from any and all claims resulting in personal injury, accidents or illnesses (including death), and property loss arising from, but not limited to, use of the Services.

Entire Agreement

  • This Agreement constitutes the entire Agreement between you and Guepa’s Kitchen and supersedes all previous Agreements.

This policy is effective as of 20th March 2024. By paying your deposit and booking your event date with Guepa’s Kitchen, you agree to the above terms and conditions.
